SRINAGAR, May 20: The president of J&K Dharmarth Trust, BR Kundal, today reviewed the arrangements for the celebration of Kheer Bhawani Mela, which begins on June 1.
Speaking at a review meeting, Kundal asked the office bearers and employees of the Trust to put in place the necessary mechanism and synergize their efforts for smooth conduct of Kheer Bhawani Mela at Tulmul this year.
Kundal asked them to gear up themselves for ensuring that the necessary and proper arrangements are put in place for the devotees coming from different parts of the State so that they do not face any inconvenience.
He said that coordinated efforts and cooperation is required for providing all the required facilities to the devotees during the Mela. “We should all coordinate our efforts to ensure successful completion of the event, as it holds a great place in our socio religious ethos”, he added.
He informed that through a separate communication he had urged upon the Ganderbal district administration to ensure that un-interrupted supply of power, water and essential items are provided to the devotees besides ensuring the safety and security of the devotees.
He said adequate number of blankets should also be kept in the place for those staying overnight and the requisite sanitation measures should also be undertaken. It was given out in the meeting that alternative arrangements of accommodation would also be kept available to the devotees, in case of the inclement weather.
The meeting also discussed all other arrangements including decoration, langar and sanitation facilities and it was assured that every effort would be made to make this Mela smooth, successful and safe. For arranging and putting in place the facilities for the devotees, requisite advance money was provided to the trust employees looking after the shrine.
