Kuldeep takes up Jammu-Poonch rail issue with PM

RAJOURI, Dec 6: Vice chairman of J&K Pahari Advisory Board, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, has claimed that he strongly took up the issue of Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch rail track issue besides promotion of tourism in the twin border districts, with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent Delhi visit.
Addressing a public meeting at Dak Bungalow Rajouri today, Gupta disclosed the issues raised by him in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He informed the gathering that Prime Minister inspite of hectic and stormy session of Parliament spared time for the exclusive meet.
The BJP leader further claimed that besides raising the issues of his Board , he has demanded from the PM for the speedy development of Railway track from Jammu to Poonch via Rajouri, which is very important from strategic and general point of view. It was also demanded that Rajouri and Poonch has vast tourism potential and the area needs special attention.
Gupta also expressed his concern for considering twin border districts of Rajouri -Poonch as the special zone which is worst hit pocket in view of cross border terrorism/ insurgency, frequent border firings and the wars. It is matter of pride for us that inspite of all instigations and false propaganda the people of twin districts have always maintained the patriotism and dealt all the instances with courage and wisdom.
He claimed that Prime Minister Modi has extended his all sort of support to the people of the State particularly from border areas and assured to resolve all genuine matters of concern.
Earlier, Gupta paid tributes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha on her death.
Prominent among those present included Dinesh Sharma, District president BJP, Kapil Sarayal, Sanjay Dutt, Dheeraj Sharma, Vichitar Singh, Nirmala Kumari, Babu Ram, Parvaiz Malik and Dr Abdul Latif.
