KU shines in North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival

SRINAGAR, Jan 24: University of Kashmir continued its winning spree by bagging the top positions in the Cultural Procession, Fine Arts and Literary Events at the 30th North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival, “Udgosh 2015” organized by Association of Indian Universities at Jammu University.
A team comprising of 18 members led by Shahid Ali Khan, Cultural Officer, KU participated in debate, elocution, quiz, poster making, spot photography, collage making, painting and Rangoli competitions at the North Zone Inter University Youth festival in which around 900 students from different Universities of North India participated.
The KU team won the first position in the overall cultural procession, 2nd position in the quiz competition by Zubair Ahmad, Syed Abdul Basit from the Business School, KU and Azmat Ali from SSM College of Engineering and Technology and third position in collage making competition by Wasim Bashir from Faculty of Music & Fine Arts KU.
The Vice Chancellor, KU, Prof Khursheed I Andrabi, Registrar, Prof Zaffar Ahmad Reishi and Dean Student’s Welfare, Prof Neelofer Khan lauded the team for its brilliant performance at the North Zone competitions and wished the team good luck for the upcoming 30th All India Level National Youth Festival being organized by Association of Indian Universities at Indore in MP in February 2015.
On the brilliant performance of the team, In-charge KU team and Cultural Officer KU said that the team competed against the best teams across Northern India.
