Krishna Club scripts big win over Burn Hall School in Chief Minister’s Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Feb 21: Krishna Sports Club Khour defeated Burn Hall School Srinagar by a big margin of 195 runs in the ongoing 50-over Chief Minister’s  Cricket Cup, being organized by Country Cricket Academy in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council at Gharota, here.
The Tournament is being played in the memory of former Chief Minister, Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, under the supervision of Director Country Cricket Academy, Vikrant Sharma.
Earlier, batting first, Krishna Sports Club Khour scored a huge total of 307 runs in 42 overs, losing all their wickets in the process. Rinku and Kabhi scored 66 and 63 runs to the total respectively, while Billa Manhas and Mohit contributed 35 and 34 runs respectively. For Burn Hall School, Uzair and Farhan took 3 wickets each, while Qasim bagged 2 and Fazil claimed one wicket.
In reply, Burn Hall School bundled out for 111 runs in 38.4 overs. Atiq top scored with 40 runs, while Jiyaad and Farhan chipped in with 17 and 10 runs to the total respectively. For Krishna Cricket Club, while Panku, Arvind, Mohit and Raghu claimed 1 wicket each. For his brilliant all-round display Billa Manhas of Krishna Sports Club Khour was adjudged as man of the match.
J&K Ranji Trophy opening batsman and former Under-19 India opener, Shubham Khajuria was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, who intected with players of both the teams on the occasion.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Baramulla Cricket Club will take on Thantal Cricket Club at Country Cricket Academy ground, Gharota at 9 am.
