KPs will return on own terms: SKS

NEW DELHI, Jan 25: Sampoorn Kashmir Sanghattan (SKS) while expressing its satisfaction over J&K Assembly resolution for return of Kashmiri Pandits who are living as refugees in their own country since last 28 years.
In a statement issued here today SKS said ultimately Kashmiri politicians felt it important that without KPs, Kashmir is incomplete and restoration of peace is not possible without them.
In a Core Committee meeting held today under the chairmanship of Anoop Kaul, its Chairman, it was decided that KPs have to return to their motherland. SKS while welcoming the resolution has however made it clear that Kashmiri Pandits will only return on their own terms and conditions which should be acceptable to whole community. SKS rejected the selection of land for transit camps for which funds have been released.
SKS while expressing confidence on the announcement of Medical Insurance policy for Kashmiri migrants has requested the State Government that this policy be implemented as soon as possible and medical cards be distributed to each migrant family and the cards should be applicable to all hospitals whether private or Government throughout country so that any family can get the benefit without any hurdle.
SKS has appealed to all PM package employees and newly listed candidates that they should not become tools in the hands of State Government for restoration of normalcy in Valley.
It has also alarmed Union Government that before taking any step regarding settlement or rehabilitation of KPs it should take KP community in confidence.
It rejected nay proposal for return taken without consultation of the community. It demanded economic rehabilitation of KP community. The meeting was  attended by Rakesh Koul, president SKS, its national Secretary. Bharat Kachroo,  Veena Wanchoo. V.P, Kuldeep Quanango, Ashok Handoo, Kishori Lal Handoo and other core members.
