KPs protest against attack on yatris

NEW DELHI, July 14: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC), Panun Kashmir (PK), Kashmiri Samiti Delhi (KSD), Roots in Kashmir (RIK), Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM), JFKPS & other Kashmiri Hindu organizations today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar here, against the recent killings of innocent pilgrims of Amarnath yatra in Kashmir.
The protest was led by Ravinder Pandita, Head of APMCC Delhi – NCR. While addressing the gathering he demanded that State and Central Government should initiate a probe into the killings and security lapses, thereof. The recent attack is a blur on Kashmiriyat, as this yatra is held in high esteem by Kashmiris. “We will continue to strive for Gangabal yatra and even for Sharda yatra in POK and our spirits will not be dampened by such cowardly acts of militants ” Ravinder Pandita siad. But Separatists and anti national forces have always prevailed and created a civil war like situation in the Valley, he added.
Panun Kashmir leaders Vijay Tikoo, Kamal Hak and Utpal Koul made fiery speech stressing a full support to displaced Hindus of the valley. KSD leaders recalled the atrocities met to Kashmiri Pandits and showed solidarity with the migrants. Other prominent leaders of Kashmiri Pandit organizations stressed the need of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus with honour and dignity. KSD leaders also called for action against the militants and their harbourers. It is not out of place to mention that the Government has ordered a probe today into the killings. Amarnath Yatra is considered to be the most sacred pilgrimage since ages in the Valley. Earlier too there have been minor attacks on the yatra, but this years incidents attaches significance as the militants had warned of such an attack.
