JAMMU, Dec 18: KPs have taken serious note of the undue interference and meddling of some Government agencies in the religious matters which is not in their domain.
The recent Philip Philip by NGT on the recitation of hymns inside Shri Amarnath Ji Cave was thoroughly deliberated in a meeting of KP intelectuals, social activists and religious scholars held at Swami Kumar Ji Ashram Muthi and it was unanimously felt that NGT has taken sectarian and narrow view with out going into deeper realms of pollution by allowing commercial activities in the shape of allowing hundreds of tents in the vicinity of cave further the tents by other agencies are also grave danger to serenity of the place.
The speakers said earlier when KPs were also part of management process these precautions were taken seriously and all the lodging and boarding was concentrated at Panjtarni. Yatries were properly guided to not be at cave after darshan this message has to be widely circulated. Moreover the role of KPs in the Yatra has to be defined by concerned agencies, which is totally missing at present. The Pooja Padati which has to be performed as per Kashmir Shaive tradition is totally ignored and not followed.
They said earlier construction at site was considered as sacrilegious but now it has become a fashion by SASB to put grills fabricated sheds inside the cave which should be immediately removed. KPs whose ethino religious identity is linked with the shrine from times immortal should be restored and they should be involved in the religious and administrative affairs of the Board so that these unwarranted controversies don’t crop up in future.
The meeting resolved to take matters related to this issue to people and other allied  Samantha’s linked to this Yatra such as Akhara Parshid Thar-mukh, Ganpatyar, Chakreshwar, Vijeshwar, Anantnag, Martand, Ganeshbal, Navdal Tral etc for restoring the traditional ancient Pooja which has preserved the shrine of Sub Continental importance up to present times.
