KPC reiterates quadruplication demand of J&K State

JAMMU, Sept 23: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC ) president, Kundan Kashmiri has reiterated his demand regarding quadruplication of J&K State which included creation of “separate Kashyap Bhoomi” within the Valley for the exiled Kashmiri Pandits who are the indigenous people of the Valley.
In a statement issued here, today, he stated that Kashmiri Hindus can not live with majority community in Valley, who are hand in glove with separatist forces and terrorists and who openly rejected the pluralism by hounding out over seven lakh Kashmiri Hindus from Valley in 1989 and 1990.
He also demanded that Jammu be given the status of a separate State and long pending demand of people of Ladakh be also fulfilled by giving it a UT status as this will be the best solution to Kashmir crisis and also fulfill the aspirations of the people of three regions including the exiled Pandits.
Kashmiri said the Kashmir centric politicians who were at the helm of affairs in the State since 1947 consider Jammu and Ladakh regions as their two colonies and people of Kashmir also think that the people of these two regions as well as Kashmiri Pandits have no rights nor they have political, economic and other aspirations.
He said the quadruplication of the State would limit the area of activities of the Kashmiri Muslim leadership to a very small part of Kashmir and defeat their ultimate designs. It will also defeat their designs regarding separation of the entire State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh from India and its conversion into a theocratic State similar to that of Pakistan.
This will also deliver a blow to the terrorists and their mentors across the border whose activities will be confined to a particular area as the administration in other regions will be tough on them and will not allow them to act in their areas.
Kundan Kashmiri also strongly opposed to the demand of self-rule, greater autonomy etc. “No one in Jammu and Ladakh and no one among the Kashmiri Pandit community has given power of attorney to the Kashmiri Muslim leadership to take decision on their behalf’’, he added.
