KPC for total merger of J&K with Indian Union

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 6: Expressing serious concern over grave exploitation of people on the name  of Article 370 in State of J&K by the so called main stream political  organizations for their vested political interests and continuation of dynastic rule  Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) has demanded total integration of J&K with Indian Union and appealed the Union Government to take a decision in this regard once for all.
He warned any further delay in this regard will worsen the situation in the State and also the forces inimical to national interests in the State will get strengthened further. He warned that in case the Union Government delays decision nationalist forces in general and KPs in particular will be forced to launch agitation.
KPC President  Kundan Kashmiri demanded  that the Centre Government should abolish the two-flag system in the State and there should be only one flag as this two-flag system and separate Constitution for the State have led many to believe that J&K constitutes a republic within the Indian Republic. These two constitutional anomalies have also been exploited by Pakistan and other hostile nations to further their own geo-political interests in the State. The demand put forth by the nationalist forces in particular by KPC needs to be viewed as earliest as possible.
He further said that it is an appropriate time for the Central Government to abolish the two-flag system, scrap  J&K Constitution and Article 370 that has failed to the people of the State in every respect, so that the State of Jammu and Kashmir is brought at par with other states of the Union to enable the people of the State to constitutionally merge with the national main stream. That way people of J&K would also enjoy the fruits of Indian democracy and get other benefits as well, he added.
