KP Sabha holds function

JAMMU, June 16: To honour the meritorious students of the community, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambphalla organized a function in the Sabha premises, here today.
The function was presided over by President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, KK Khosa, while Sat Pal Sharma, Minister for Housing and Urban Development was the chief guest.
The function started with a welcome address by General Secretary of Sabha, SL Bagati, who said that the community will be benefitted by the presence Minister in the Cabinet as he is well versed with the various problems being faced by the community. Later, KK Khosa highlighted the major problems of displaced, which need attention of the Government.
He appealed to Minister to use his influence for covering displaced hamlets especially Jagti and other camps for better urban facilities.
Khosa also reminded Sharma about the promise for providing funds under CDF for library in Sabha Campus.
On the occasion,  Sharma assured his best efforts for the welfare of the community and said that BJP has always stood with the displaced community right from 1990 and will never shy away from its responsibility for helpless community.
He lauded the efforts of KPS for its commendable efforts.
Later meritorious students namely Mahima Bhat, Meesha Thaploo, Shriya Raina, Aanchal Koul, Sarthak Raina, Sativa Wangnoo, Ritik Trakroo, Prerna Lidhu, Priyank Koul, Rahul Tickoo, Vidushi Tickoo, Satvik Pandita, Sai Sagar Seru, Sumit Bhat, Vaidarshi Dhar, Nimish Tufchi, Amisha Saraf, Ritik Sathoo, and Akashi Pandita were given cash prize, trophies and certificates.
Rahul Bhat and Akshay Labroo were also felicitated on the occasion for being selected in IAS.
The cheques have been donated by Kashmiri Pandit Education Trust.
