Korean, JU students present colourful programme depicting culture

JAMMU, July 15: A group of Korean students from various Universities of Korea, who are on a visit to India and the students of University of Jammu today presented a colourful programme depicting varied culture of Korea and India.
Organised by the Department of Students Welfare in the Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, the highlights of the programme were Korean song, dance, Martial Art and skit.
Lida Singh Ishar was the chief guest on the occasion, who evinced keen interest in the cultural bonanza of the two countries and complimented the student artists for their captivating performance. She hoped that the budding artists of Jammu will get inspiration from the performing students.
She further said that exchange of art is imperative for exposing youngsters particularly the student community to rich ethos and culture of various countries.
The visiting students were presented trophy by the chief guest on the occasion.
Neeru Sharma, chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee presented welcome address, while Dr Shailender, Associate Dean presented vote of thanks.
Among others present on the occasion were Prof N K Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh, Dr Dawood Iqbal Baba, Coordinator All Campuses.
