Kohli reviews developmental works in Kalakote

RAJOURI, Sept 4: To review the financial and physical achievements of various departments under the district plan, state plan and other centrally sponsored schemes in the district, Minister for Transport, Ch. Abdul Ghani Kohli today chaired a meeting of district officers at Dak Bunglow Kalakote here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mumtaz Ali Choudhary, ASP Nowshera, Rakesh Bhagat, Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hamid, SDM Kalakote, B K Panotra, ARTO, Yugal Sharma besides SE PHE, Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD,  PHE, I&FC, PMGSY and other sectoral officers attended the meeting.
The Minister reviewed the expenditure against the approved outlay made under different schemes for the FY-2014-15 and 2015-16 in the district besides other issues pertaining to different departments.
Additional Deputy Commissioner briefed the Minister about the achievements of various departments besides status of various ongoing developmental works. The meeting was informed that 75% of the funds against approved outlay for 2015-16 under regular share for Centrally Sponsored Schemes have been released and developmental works are being executed by various departments.
After a detailed review of each department, the Minister directed the concerned sectoral officers to expedite the completion of ongoing developmental works so as to avoid cost escalation besides accelerating the developmental process. Kohli emphasized on transparency in the allotment and execution of developmental works.
The Minister directed I&FC and PHE authorities to construct protection wall near Moughla Bridge and renovate dug well at Tatta Pani. Status of ongoing developmental works in Health, Power, Education, Minor irrigation besides progress under IAY, MGNREGA, NFB etc. were reviewed in detail.
The Minister also asked PDD authorities to check discrepancies in electricity bills whereas ARTO Rajouri was instructed to check the menace of overloading in the district.
