Kohli asks officers to ensure quality work

SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Over Rs. 4195-33 lakh have been incurred on the execution of various developmental works and welfare schemes in Shopian district so for constituting 84% of total layout of Rs. 8505-45 lakh.
This was stated at a review meeting of District Development Board, Shopian convened under the chairmanship of Minister for Transport Abdul Gani Kohli at Banquet Hall today. MLAs of Shopian and Wachi were also present in the meeting.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on the implementation of decision of previous board meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Reviewing the implementation of macadamization of roads in the district the meeting was informed that 86-90 kilometres of road length have been macadamized.
The meeting was also informed that 01 water supply schemes under district plan and 06 other under NRWDP have almost been completed which will cover 23 habitations and will benefit 23888 souls in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister exhorted upon the officers to ensure execution of all developmental works with in the stipulated time. He also asked them to ensure quality of work and spent public amount judiciously.
The Minister also directed the PDD to ensure power supply and strictly implement curtailment schedule during winter so that people do not face any inconvenience.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner, Shopian gave a detailed resume of developmental works through power point presentation.
