KNM holds protest over killing, attacks on nationalist forces

KISHTWAR, Mar 3: Hundreds of volunteers of Kishtwar Nagrik Manch (KNM) today lodged protest in front of DC Office here against the killing and repeated attacks on nationalist forces in Kerala and other parts of country by Maoist elements.
The protestors condemning the attacks and said that some forces are hell bent upon targeting nationalist forces to achieve their political agendas and now in a well planed way educational institutions are being used for these activities, which is great threat to nation.
They urged upon Government to intervene in the matter before the situation takes ugly turn. They also urged the Government to take strict measures to curb such activities.
Lekh Raj Nirala, Convener Kishtwar Nagrik Manch, Swami Ram Saran Das Shastri, Ram Sewak Sharma, Chuni Lal Parihar , Captain (retd) Dewan Chand, Des Raj, Rakesh Sen, Munishwer Sharma and many others addressed the gathering.
Later, the protestors submitted a memorandum for President of India to DC Kishtwar.
