KKR vs SRH: Five records to look out for

KOLKATA: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 got underway with Chennai
Super Kings’ comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore last night.
CSK’s spinners took a record-equalling 8 wickets in RCB’s innings (an IPL record).
Dinesh Karthik-led Kolkata Knight Riders will also look to make a room for
themselves in the record books as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in today’s match.
Here are some key numbers to watchout for:
Andre Russell playing his 50th T20 match for Kolkata Knight Riders, the Jamaican all
rounder needs 44 more runs to reach 4,500 runs in T20s. He’s the true definition of a
big-hitter and if he gets going, we are surely in for a treat.
With the first boundary of the match, the iconic Eden Gardens venue will witness its
Two Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Second (2,662) boundary in IPL. It’s the 3rd
most after Chinnaswamy Stadium (2969) and Wankhede Stadium (2691).
The first hit to the fence by KKR will also be their 1,300th boundary, second after
RCB’s 1,448 at their respective home venues.
The explosive opener Sunil Narine needs 27 more runs to complete 2000 runs in
T20s. Narine’s transition from that of a mystery spinner to an all-rounder has been
remarkable.
Skipper Dinesh Karthik had a season to remember in VIVO IPL 2018. Leading by
example, he went on to score 498 runs in his very first stint with KKR. Now he needs
two more runs to reach the mark of 500 runs in the purple and gold attire.
The southpaw from Delhi Nitish Rana if hits four more boundaries in today’s game,
Nitish will reach the mark of 100 boundaries in IPL.
