Kishmish rises on tight supply

NEW DELHI,  May 28:  Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of pick up in demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Fall in supplies from producing areas also supported the uptrend.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 2,800-4,500 and Rs 5,000-9,000 per 40 kg bag, respectively.
Marketmen said rising demand from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing areas, mainly pushed up kishmish prices at the dryfruit market.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 15,700-15,800, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,100-10,200, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,700-5,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 555-560 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
