Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, Apr 20: Satwari police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on April 10 a complaint was lodged by a man hailing from Babliana with police station Satwari stating that his minor daughter has been kidnapped by Mohammad Mumtaz alias Salman, son of Mohammad Mushtaq of Bihar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 82/17 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Satwari police station and hunt was launched to recover the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
During investigation, a team from Satwari police station conducted raid in Bihar and rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities, while further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by ASI Mohammad Akram and SgCt Shabir Ahmed rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
