JAMMU, Sept 29: Belicharana police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on September 24, a family hailing from Belicharana lodged a complaint with police post Belicharana stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Majid Khan, son of Mohammad Khan, a resident of Doda Basti, Belicharana.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 192/16 under Section was registered at police station Satwari and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police team conducted raids in Jewel and Janipur areas and recovered the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape, but the cops nabbed him.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Belicharana police post SI Ranjeet Singh recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
