JAMMU, Jan 6: Gangyal police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, in the month of December last year, a complaint was filed by a family with Police Station Gangyal stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Prince Tiwari, son of Gorkh Tiwari, a resident of Gopal Gunj, Bihar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Gangyal Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station conducted raids in different areas and finally rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape, but cops arrested him after a brief chase.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
