RAJOURI, Jan 2: A young girl hailing from Thannamandi area of Rajouri, who was allegedly kidnapped by a Kashmiri youth was recovered by police from Pathankot area on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said that Fozia Akhtar, daughter of one Mushtaq Ahmed, hailing from Thannamandi area of Rajouri was kidnapped by one Shahid Islam, son of Ali Mohd Bhat, resident of Awantipora in Kashmr on December 28, 2013. The parents lodged an FIR No. 239/2013 with the Thannamandi police the next day. A police party led by SHO Zakir Shaheen recovered the girl from Pathankot area on the basis of a clue. The girl after medical examination was handed over to the family. The Kashmiri youth has been arrested.
