Kichloo chairs Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting

KISHTWAR, Oct 11: With a view to improve the functioning of District, Hospital Kishtwar and to take stock of ongoing activities, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B and Mech Engg, Tourism and Culture Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today chaired a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
Medical Superintendant Distt Hospital Kishtwar, Dr Pervaiz Iqbal put forth the agenda of the meeting.
The Medical Superintendant apprised the Minister about the progress achieved during the present financial year and gave detailes about the staff position. He informed that presently the District Hospital is overburdened and at the same time the hospital is also not receiving full supply of urgently required medical equipment and medicines. He also sought permission of Chairman to open a canteen and special paid rooms in the hospital.
While deliberating the discussions, the Minister took a strong note of insufficient supplies to Distt Hospital and assured that he will take up the matter with concerned higher authorities. He passed the decision to enhance honorarium of volunteers to Rs 2000 per month. He said that AMT school will soon start functioning and also asked for taking new initiatives for the well being of patients.
XEn PDD, XEn PHE, DSWO, DIO, senior doctors, officers, senior citizens and media persons were present in the meeting.
Later, the Minister also inspected Distt Hospital and inaugurated the waiting gallary in OPD which has been developed out of his CDF. He inspected the ongoing construction works and directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure best quality of work in all the projects.
