KHC asks Govt to curb anti national elements

JAMMU, Mar 19: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) in its Core Group meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of M L Thusoo advocate expressed its concern over the failure of Government in curbing the anti social and anti national elements in Valley which consequently resulted in the delay of return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus.
There is such a polarization in Kashmir that hue and cry is being created whenever the issue of Pandits return is raised from any quarter despite the fact that Kashmiri Pandits are indigenous people of the Valley having over 5000 year old civilization.
He accused the State Government of neglecting the community in various spheres of the administration. The Government at grass root level has not done any thing to educate people for revival of secular and human values. The environment is hostile to the people of other faiths in Valley, he added.
The meeting urged the Union Government to put the records straight in the Valley for the safe and honourable return of displaced Pandits as the delay in their settlement of the issues can become tedious on every passing day, it added.
The meeting among others was addressed by P L Koul Budgami, K L Ganjoo, G L Koul, A K Koul, A K Bhat and S N Raina.
