Khanna reviews political situation

JAMMU, Feb 20: The prevailing political situation and host of other issues were discussed in the high level meetings of BJP which was chaired by party national vice president and Prabhari J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna at party’s Trikuta Nagar office today.
Soon after his arrival here, Khanna held a meeting with party Ministers and legislators which was followed by another meeting held with Core Group members. While Deputy Chief Minster Dr Nirmal Singh was not present in the first meeting he attended the Core Group meeting later, party sources said.
The meeting among BJP ministers  was attended by party MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas, State president Sat Sharma, party general secretaries and some legislators from both Houses.
Sources said the meetings among other issues discussed the functioning of the State coalition, issue of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas settled in Jammu and  problems of other refugees including Party’s stand over them.
During these meetings, Khanna stressed on more coordination among party activists, legislators and Ministers. He said that an activist is the main pillar of the party and a link with common masses. Good governance can’t be possible if the party activists are ignored, he added.
The celebration of former Jan Sangh president and a great political stalwart of country, Deendayal Upadayay’s birthday and party’s programmes held in this connection as well as Jan Samparak yatra launched by the Party were also discussed during the meetings.
