Khanna chairs BJP review meeting on Panchayat elections

JAMMU, Jan 10: BJP national vice-president, vice-chairman Indian Red Cross Society & Party Prabhari for J&K,  Avinash Rai Khanna chaired a meeting of senior party leaders who included State President of the party & MLA, Sat Sharma, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State general secretaries, Dr. Narinder Singh, Harinder Gupta, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma and Minister of Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat. They held a detailed discussions on the issues related to the forthcoming Panchayat and then Urban Local Bodies elections in the State.
Avinash Rai Khanna, while chairing the meeting said that today BJP has become synonymous with the development of the nation and particularly the youth have accepted and adopted its ideology through the core of heart. He said that for the first time in the history of nation, it has happened that the people are looking towards the democratically elected Government at the Centre with high hopes for taking the nation to its pristine glory. He asserted that it is highly imperative that BJP remains at the helm of affairs at all levels for the equitable developments of all the sects and faiths across the regions.
Khanna said that consistent good performance of BJP in every election across the nation is a testament to the good governance of party, while giving all credit to the team of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah.
Khanna stressed that general public has very high hopes on the BJP and thus the responsibility of the party leaders requires utmost loyalty towards the public issues. He stressed that the appeal of BJP must touch heart of every single voter, be it in Panchayat, ULB or any other election eradicating those forces which have only looted the economic and other resources of the nation.
Sat Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, enumerated various programmes for the promotion and extension of party ideology among the general public in all three regions of J&K while putting particular emphasis on the role of morchas in bringing together all the sects. He also threw light on the various important organizational and developmental initiatives taken up by the party.
Ashok Kaul deliberated on the organizational matters of the party during the meeting and claimed that the party has exhibited the satisfactory performance in the Kashmir region while scaling new heights in the Jammu and Ladakh regions. He assured the Khanna that every candidate supported by the party will win the forthcoming Panchayat elections.
Jugal Kishore Sharma acquainted the Khanna with the various Centrally sponsored schemes for the welfare of J&K State. He also asked him to advocate for more developmental projects for the State, which will create more job avenues for the youth of State and push them towards constructive role in the society.
Avinash Rai Khanna met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Khanna discussed with the Governor his suggestions regarding the measures required for speeding up the development of the State and promoting the welfare of the people in all the three regions.
