Khanna asks party leaders to concentrate on Kathua-Doda seat

JAMMU, Apr 11: BJP Prabhari for J&K and party MP Avinash Rai Khanna today asked the party cadres to fan out in every nook and corner of the Kathua -Doda Parliamentary constituency and ensure that maximum number of votes are polled in favour of party candidates, Dr Jitendra Singh in April 17 elections.
Addressing the meeting of partymen at BJP headquarters here today, he also urged the senior party leaders to camp in the constituency for all these days of campaigning and ensure the victory of party candidate with a huge margin as Kathua -Doda Lok Sabha seat is a prestigious seat for the party.
He said the morale of party activists is high with the record polling on April 10 elections throughout the country and he expressed the hope that same will be repeated in April 17 polling for Kathua -Doda seat.
He said the NC and Congress is in total desperation and this is visible from the fact that the activists of the two parties have attacked the BJP candidate Mushtaq Ahmed Noorabadi in Anantnag yesterday.
He said the time has come when a new chapter in the history of J&K will be written after Narendra Modi takes over as Prime Minister. He assured that Mr Modi will take forward all the programmes and policies initiated by former Prime Minister and party stalwart Atal Behari Vajpayee.
He said peace with Pakistan and unity of separated families will be a major step to be initiated by the party after Modi takes over as Prime Minister of the country.
He appealed the people to ensure the defeat of the parties which have been unleashing a false propaganda against BJP and mobilize the public opinion in favour of BJP so that the Parliament seat is won by a big margin.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders, district presidents, state office bearers, MLAs, Morcha presidents. The prominent among them included Ashok Khajuria, BJP Legislature Party leader, former president Shamsher Singh Manhas, State vice presidents, Chander Parkash Ganga and Col (retd) Uttam Singh, general secretaries, Ashok Kaul, Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Jasrotia.
