Khalsa Club lifts Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey title

JAMMU, Jan 28: Defeating MBS Simbal Camp by four goals to three (4-3) in the summit clash, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral lifted the title trophy of the Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, sponsored by J&K State Sports Council and organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
For Khalsa Club, Ranveet Singh scored the first goal in 10th minute, while Jagjeet Singh netted back to back goals in 28th and 38th minutes and the 4th goal for the team was netted by Satvir Singh in 55th minute, while Ramandeep Singh scored two goals for MBS Hockey Club in 40th and 50th minute and the 3rd goal for the team was scored by Satwant Singh in 58th minute.
The match was officiated by Jagjeet Singh, Iqbal Singh, Joginder Singh and Vijay Vaid, while Tournament Director was MS Reen. GS Bakshi, General Secretary of Hockey J&K was also present on the occasion.
Sardar Trilochan Singh Wazir, Ex-MLC was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
He lauded the efforts of Hockey J&K for organsing Hockey Tournaments regularly.
