JAMMU, Jan 15: Shubham Pundir’s brilliant 90 runs helped KC Sports Club to thrash Whites Cricket Club (WCC) by a big margin of 96 runs in the ongoing KCSC Winter Cup 2017, being played at KC Public School ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, KC Sports Club scored a huge total of 234 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Shubham Pundir played magnificent innings, while Surya Mahotra and Suryansh contributed 47 and 37 runs to the total respectively. For WCC, Sudershan and Raja claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, WCC scored 138 runs and lost the match by a big margin of 96 runs. Ashish top scored with 46 runs. For KCSC, Vishwajeet Singh and Vivek Singh took 2 wickets each, while Bahnu and Abhishant claimed one wicket each.
In other matches, Simula defeated Secretariat XI, Market Bulls Sports Club got better of Strikers XI and Shastri prevailed over Bole Nath Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 6 runs.
