KCCI seeks extension of rehabilitation package

SRINAGAR, Feb 27: While hailing the services of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited, the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries today sought the extension of rehabilitation package for the restructuring of loans.
President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, said it has been observed that the rehabilitation package for the restructuring of loans recently announced by the J&K Bank has gone a long way in providing an opportunity for rehabilitating the business activity of many crumbling business entities. “No other bank operating in the valley has come up with a similar rehabilitation package for their borrowers”, he said.
He, however, said that continuance of the package for more time would help more borrowers craving for rehabilitation to come forward and avail the package, which in turn could result in the positive effect on the health of both the lending institution and the borrower.
