KCCC registers narrow win over Tawi Sports Club in opening tie

JAMMU, Oct 26: Kishen Chand Cricket Club scripted a narrow win by 13 runs over Tawi Sports Club in the opening match of the 5-Match Under-16 Friendship Series, being organized by KCCC at GGM Science College, here.
The Series is being held under the supervision of Sunil Kumar, cricket coach.
Batting first, KCCC scored 148 runs in 38 overs in a 40-over match. Sachin Sharma top scored with 40 runs, while Ayush, Areen Sharma and Aarav Mahajan chipped in with 12, 10 and 9 runs respectively. For Tawi Sports Club, Keshav took 3 wickets, while Abhinav bagged 2 wickets. Surinder and Arjun claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Tawi Sports Club managed to score 135 runs and lost the match by a narrow margin of 13 runs. Arjun top scored with 34 runs, while Surinder contributed 23 runs. Chitwan and Yuvraj contributed 18 and 15 runs to the total respectively. For KCCC, Sachin, Sanat and Snoop took 2 wickets each, while Bismat and Nityam claimed one wicket each.
The next match of the Series will be played at 8:30 am tomorrow.
