6th Christmas T20 Cricket C’ship

JAMMU, Dec 13: KC Sports Club registered win against the Samar Cricket Club and entered into the semis of the ongoing 6th Christmas T20 Cricket Championship being organized under the banner of Christian Sports Organization Jammu, Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and supported by Diocese of Jammu at parade ground, here today.
In today’s first quarterfinal match, Naresh Kashyap, Chief Manager Canara Bank Jammu was the chief guest while Fr Kuriakose Chairman Christian Sports Organization and Arun Kumar Gupta Special Assistant were the special guests.
In first quarterfinal match, KC Sports Club defeated Samar Cricket team by 41 runs.
Batting first KC Sports Club scored 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 18 overs. Arjun Choudhary made 46 runs, while Karan scored 27 runs and Abhinav Puri chipped in 23 runs.
From the bowling side, Amandeep, Rohit and Ashu took 2 wickets each while Prithi scalped 1 wicket.
In reply, Samar Cricket Club failed to chase the target and managed to score 81 runs by losing all wickets in 15.3 overs thus lost the match by 41 runs. Amandeep made 25 runs and Amritpal Singh scored 24 were.
From the bowling side, Raman was wrecker in chief who took 4 wickets, while Vijay scalped 3 wickets. Vicky took 2 wickets while Vivek pocketed 1 wicket.
Arjun Choudhary was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Ashok, Sanju and Vijay.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Lakshmi Cricket Club will take on Simula Club, Road and Safety Department will clash with Shehanshah Club and KCCC will lock horns with Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, said Rajesh Gill Organizing Secretary of the Championship.
