JAMMU, Feb 14: To take stock of the problems being faced by the people of Sunjwan area, the Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta visited the area today.
While addressing a public meeting, Speaker said that the people would be provided basic amenities by developing the area and asked people to cooperate with the Government in implementation of developmental schemes.
With regard to demolition of the houses in the area, Mr. Gupta assured that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities to sort out the issue at earliest.
He urged the residents of the area for protection of Government properties and land and not to indulge in encroaching upon such properties.
Latter, the Speaker also visited the damaged houses in the area.
