Katra police opens pre-paid counter for pilgrims

JAMMU, July 19:  Katra Police today made pre-paid counter functional at Ban Ganga, where police personnel will issue pre-paid slips to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji pilgrims for travelling in auto rickshaws.
SP Katra Naresh Singh said the decision to open pre-paid counters for the pilgrims for travel in auto rickshaws was taken due to complaints of overcharging lodged by some of the yatris with police.
In view of the complaints, police have taken over the prepaid counter for the facilities of pilgrims and end the complaints of overcharging.
The prepaid counter was today made functional by SP Katra Naresh Singh in the present of Inspector Surinder Paul Singh, SHO Katra, Inspector Kapil Gupta, DTI Katra and Sub Inspector Suman Singh, Incharge Ban Ganga Police under the supervision of SSP Reasi Tahir Sajjad Bhat.
