Kathua police foils bovine smuggling bids, rescues 7 animals

KATHUA Dec 3: Thwarting the nefarious designs of bovine smugglers Kathua police once again foiled two bovine smuggling bids during late last night and rescued seven bovine animals at Bediyan Pattan and Magar Khad area respectively falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station.
As per reports reacting to specific information, late last night Inspector, Anil Sharma, SHO Police Station, Kathua under the supervision of Shamsher Singh Sambyal, Dy SP Headquarters, Kathua deputed two police teams to foil the evil designs of bovine smugglers.
Team from PS Kathua headed by SI Anil Kotwal laid naka at Bediyan Pattan area of Kathua and intercepted one Mahindra load carier with registration no PB02CR 6873 carrying three bovine animals. Concurrently the team from Police Post Industrial Estate headed by SI Verinder Singh Incharge Police Post Industrial Estate laid naka at Maggar Khad area of  Kathua and intercepted another same type vehicle  with registration no JK21A- 9403 carrying four bovine animals.
Both the teams rescued seven bovine animals in total but drivers of both managed to escape taking advantage of darkness. Accordingly case FIRs 363/2017 and 364/2017 under Sections 188 RPC, 3/5 PC Act were registered at Police Station, Kathua against the drivers.
The drive was launched under the directions of SSP Kathua, Suleman Choudhary.
