KATHUA, Aug 17: Continuing the drive launched by District Police Kathua, a police party of PS Kathua on the basis of a specific information, conducted raid at Chack Drab Khan (Kathua) and destroyed about 3000 litters of lahan on spot.
Police party also seized 20 litters of illicit liquor along with apparatus used for manufacturing illicit liquor from the possession of accused person namely Jeet Kumar alias Pappy S/o Dhian Chand R/o Chack Drab Khan tehsil & district Kathua. He was taken into custody and case FIR No. 247/2017 u/s 48(e) Excise Act stands registered against him at Police Station Kathua.
The police team was headed by Inspector Anil Kumar Sharma, SHO Police Station Kathua.
The whole drive was carried out under the supervision of S.S. Sambyal, DySP Hqrs. Kathua and overall supervision of Mohd. Suleman Choudhary-, SSP Kathua.
