SAMBA, Mar 14: Defeating Gurah Mundian, Hiranagar convincingly in the summit clash, Kathlore Punjab lifted the title trophy of the Volleyball Tournament, being held in the memory of Goldy Sharma, Satyam Sharma and Sahil Sharma at Gurah Mundian, here.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Senior Congress Leader and former Minister and General Secretary PCC was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Dr Sharma while speaking on the occasion appreciated the role of organizers and the family members of Goldy Sharma, Satyam Sharma and Sahil Sharma for organizing the tournament in their memory, giving good message to the youth and the society.
Dr Sharma also lauded the efforts of Madan Lal Toofan and Mohinder Sharma, under whose supervision the Tournament was held.
“Such events lure youth towards sporting activities and help them shun drugs and allied evil things to not to derail from the mainstream,” added Dr Sharma.
On the occasion, Dr Sharma was accompanied by Subash Gupta, Ex MLC and district president, Jagdish Dogra, Surinder Singh Sarpanch, Madan Lal Sharma Sarpanch, Ashok Kumar and Anant Ram.
