JAMMU, Apr 17: Like other parts of the country, entire Kashmir valley too has been strongly affected by Modi wave and the BJP will get record number of votes this time, claimed BJP candidate for Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, Mushtaq Ahmed Malik while addressing media persons here today.
Malik, who was in Jammu for two days, visited a number of camps housing the population of Kashmiri migrant voters originally hailing from South Kashmir, to seek their votes in favour of BJP.
He said that a false propaganda of possible alliance between PDP and BJP has been unleashed in these areas. As is clear from very beginning of election process that BJP is contesting on its own and is confident of forming Government at the Centre and thereby do not have any kind of understanding with any political party.
Alleging that NC and Congress leaders’ sole motive is to mislead not only voters from Kashmir region but also Kashmiri Pandit migrant voters putting up in different migrant camps in Jammu and elsewhere, Malik pleaded before the migrant voters not to be trapped in the false propaganda of the NC-Congress leaders.
Malik further said that popularity of Modi can also be confirmed by the fact that people in Kashmir are seen raising slogans against NC-Congress candidates wherever they go for canvassing while the BJP candidates are being garlanded and given warm welcome.
He further said that Kashmiris need not fear from adversaries who have always been sincere to their own self interest and not the interest of the common Kashmiris and so God has given an opportunity to take the right course by voting in favour of Modi so that Kashmir also prospers along with the nation.
BJP Migrant Cell Prabhari, Shilpi Verma and BJP State Press Secretary, Balbir Ram Rattan were also present.
