Kashmir centric politicians indulging in selective condemnation of killings: Dr Jitendra

JAMMU/CHASSANA:, Apr 7: Without naming any party, Union Minister of State in PMO with Independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh today took a strong dig at some Kashmir centric parties and accused them of indulging in selective condemnation of killings.
Talking to reporters at Jammu on way to Chassana and Pouni areas of Reasi district, the Union Minister said that not only the separatists are indulging in selective condemnation of killings but this has afflicted some mainstream politicians of Kashmir also.
“They too are enthusiastic in condemning the civilian killings but hesitate in condemning when a cop or a member of security forces is martyred or injured by terrorists despite the fact that the jawans of security forces are being engaged in protecting these politicians’’, he added.
He said, however, the common Kashmiri has now seen through the game plan of the separatists and the so called mainstream parties as he has been witness to this kind of drama for decades together. “Now the common Kashmiri especially the youth of Kashmir are fed up with this and they want to be part of Narendra Modi’s developmental plan’’, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh said this is the reason that for last three -four years now the Kashmiri youth emerge toppers in Civil Services as well as other competitive examinations held at national level.
Lambasting the Kashmir Centric political actors for their opt repeated semi separatist statements when out of power, he said these leaders speak one language in Srinagar another in Jammu while in Delhi they swear by India saying Kashmir is an integral part of the country.
He said the youth of Kashmir are fed up with the terrorism and mayhem and they have started questioning these so called protagonists of separatism who instigated the wards of poor people to join militancy or stone pelting while sending their own children for safer heavens outside. “Now the Kashmiri youth can no longer be instigated by the so called protagonists of separatism’’, he added.
In response to a question that NC patriarch, Dr Farooq Abdullah has said that every action has equal and opposite reaction while referring to killing of civilians in Valley, Dr Jitendra Singh said “I do not think he ( Dr Abdullah)is himself serious what he says as it has been an old habit with him of making such statements when out of power and swears that Kashmir is an integral part of India when in power’’.
Maintaining that no leniency will be shown to terrorists, he said the stand of Government of India is clear so far as action against the terrorism is concerned. “There is total clarity and consistency in our stand on terrorism and we are committed to chase terrorists to finish’’, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh said “there can be no premium on terrorism but maintained that if a former terrorist genuinely wants to surrender and join the mainstream we should not become a barrier in it’’.
In response to a question regarding the move to pay Rs six lakh to a surrendered militant by the State Government, the Union Minister said that before giving amnesty to surrendered militants, the State Government should declare amnesty for those against whom cases were framed in Amarnath land row.
On the Pakistan’s misadventures against India, Dr Jitendra Singh said it is not any thing new to us because Pakistan has been involved in doing this mischief right from the day one of the partition. “But for the first time the neighboring country has been given a befitting reply by Modi Government and its heat is being felt across the border and even Islamabad has been disturbed by India’s action on border as well as within the Kashmir valley in weeding out terrorism.”
He said the Government has not shown any kind of leniency towards terrorism during last four years. On Rahul Gandhi’s reaction to BJP national president, Amit Shah’s statement accusing him of calling entire opposition as animals, Dr Jitendra Singh said the BJP president never compared the opposition with animals but if Congress means that, this description seems appropriate to them then.
On Rohingyas issue, the Union Minister said that this issue is not confined to J&K only but entire country. “This is a problem in West Bengal also and the Government of India has taken cognizance of the same. The GoI is obtaining the data in this regard,” he added.
On Rassana murder case, Dr Jitendra Singh favoured transparent probe into it without causing harassment to innocent people of the area. He also stressed on the Government for immediate resolution of the issue without any prejudice and bias.
Later addressing mammoth public gatherings at Chassana and Pouni, Dr Jitendra Singh highlighted the four years achievements of Modi Government which he said is wedded to the betterment of the poor and down trodden people living in remote and backward parts of the country irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.
“Modi Government is committed to welfare of every individual’’, he said, adding this Government is for every body and there is no discrimination with any one as the dharma and religion of this Government is justice to all and appeasement to none’’.
Dr Jitendra Singh said for development of New India of Narendra Modi’s dream the development of all is imperative.
He regretted that even during last 70 years of independence no MP had visited Chassana but Modi Government is answerable to masses so he made a point to visit this remote area. “People can question us and they want that their MP should sit amidst them’’, he added.
He said it was the charisma of Modi that he tied entire country from North to South and East to West in a one string. “This Government is committed to provide benefit of welfare schemes to last man in the last queue’’ he added.
Without naming the opposition parties, he said no one in the Modi Government has been Minister because of his family background but because of his capability and capacity.
He said the biggest achievement of this Government is that there has been no scam and scandal during last four years while the sins committed by previous governments still surface. This is because the Prime Minister who is heading the Government is watching every thing, he added.
He said no Government thought of enhancing old age pension and soon after Narendra Modi came to power it enhanced the same to Rs 1000. “This Government realized the pain and agony of masses and soon after it took over it enhanced the relief of Talwara migrants to Rs 10,000 per family per month and made it at par with Kashmir migrants which the previous Governments failed to do.
He said besides, the honorarium of SPOs was also doubled and he announced that he will take up the issue with concerned quarters of further enhancing the same. This Government also rid the people especially the poor of cooking meals on traditional choolas “by providing free of cost gas connections to them.
He also announced that all roads will be completed by 2019. Hitting out at opposition parties, he said different people will come to mislead the masses but ask them who thought of Devika clearance in last 70 years and who took decision of granting the Radio Station to Udhampur though being consistently demanded by people for last 50 years.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that whosoever claims to be the leader of the masses has to serve them 24x7x365. He announced Rs 20 lakh for school building and Kounsar Nag yatra shed and assured that the issue of constructing Dak Bungalow at Chassana will be taken up with State Government by him.
He also announced an ambulance for Pouni and also asked the State Government to hold the dialogue with the striking Anganwari workers to settle their issue.
Addressing the rally at Pouni, Minister of State for Revenue and Finance, Ajay Nanda highlighted the three years achievements of State Government and the four years achievements of Modi Government at Centre. He took a dig at those who accuse the State Government of doing discrimination with Jammu region and said that for the first time in last 70 years the justice in equitable development of three regions was done.
At Pouni, BJP leaders Kuldeep Raj, Sat Paul and BJP State secretary, Sanjay Baroo addressed the rally.
BJP leaders Subedar Sukhdev Singh, Bhagwan Singh, Ch. Mohammed Isreal and Pardeep Singh addressed rally at Chassana.
