KAS officer Khan to be posted as Admn Secy: AG to SC

JAMMU, Oct 14: Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir has told the Supreme Court that KAS officer Mohammad Mehraj-ud-Din Khan will be posted as Administrative Secretary shortly.
When the SLP filed by the State came up for hearing before the Supreme Court Bench comprising Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice R Banumathi, Advocate General Jahangir Iqbal Ganai submitted that the Super Time Scale will be granted to Mohammad Mehraj-ud-Din Khan on the date on which it was granted to M H Malik—June 5, 2014.
It was further submitted that the respondent will thereafter be posted as Administrative Secretary and within a week thereafter, the required designation as Commissioner/Secretary will be given in accordance with the rules.
After hearing Advocate General for the State and Advocate Keshav Thakur for the officer, the SC directed the State to file a compliance report within three weeks.
