Kargil observes complete bandh in support of opening Skardu road

KARGIL, Feb 8: Pacing the struggle for opening Kargil Skardu Road, and other developmental issues like completion of Zojjila Tunnel Project, air service and other long pending demands, Kargil observed complete bandh despite of heavy snowfall on the call of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullma Isna Ashriya Kargil Ladakh (AJUIAK) and made the movement of open Kargil -Skardu road a successful movement.

In this context all business units, Government offices, court and even LAHDC Secretariat remained closed and there was a deserted look in the Kargil town.
After the Friday prayer interacting with the people president AJUIAK, Hujjatul Islam Wal Muslameen, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi complimented all the business organizations, Trade Unions, Taxi, Bus and Omni Van Union and all the Government officers and officials for making the bandh a success.
Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi complimented all the religious, social and political organizations and leaders of J&K who supported the movement last Friday and urged upon them to support this movement to make the world know about the discrimination made with the people of Ladakh in general and the people of Kargil, Ladakh in particular.
Shiekh Nazir also complimented former CM Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah, Mir Waiz Omar Farooq, Shah Feaseal , Er Rasheed and others for their support.
He also thanked all the Imam Jummas of Kargil, and Leh for supporting the protest of Friday and making it a grand success.
He further told that the future course of action will be intimated to the people in days to come and urged upon all the people of Ladakh to support this cause.
