JAMMU, Sept 29: In a major push to the development works in Jammu West Assembly Segment, State vice president BJYM and Incharge Jammu West, Karan Sat Sharma along with Janipur Mandal president BJP Vijay Sharma started the works for macadamization at Excelsior Lane area of Janipur falling in Ward Number 36 of the Constituency. Accompanied by a large number of people including PWD (R&B) officials, local residents of the area, many social and political activists were also present on the occasion.
The work was started on the directives of MLA of the Constituency and president of State BJP Sat Sharma (CA).
The works will be executed under the supervision of PWD (R&B) Department at an estimated cost of around Rupees 16 lakh and a stretch of around 500 metres will be constructed under the same which will cover the whole Excelsior lane at Janipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Karan Sat Sharma said that due to the recent heavy rains in the city, the roads in the area went totally damaged and in order to provide best possible facilities to the masses of Jammu West, the construction has to be taken up.
He also appreciated the efforts of the MLA and the concerned department for looking into the public grievances seriously and solving them in a time bound period. He also stated that various developmental works pertaining to laying of new water pipes, new sewerage system, municipal works and others are running at a good pace in all spheres of Jammu West and that day is not far enough when its example will be given in the best model Constituencies of the State.
Vijay Sharma stressed upon promoting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “Swacch Bharat” and appealed the masses to spare sometime everyday or weekly to help in cleaning their surroundings in order to build a clean and green nation.
