Karan installs idols of Maha Kali, Kartike at Raghunath Temple

*Releases Dogri album ‘Mitthiyaan Parchhaiyaan’

JAMMU, Apr 23: J&K Dharmarth Trust today organized a grand religious function at the historical Raghunath Ji Temple during which the Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh installed the idols of Mata Maha Kali and Swami Kartike.
Talking to the devotees on the occasion, Dr Karan Singh said that with the installation of these idols the presence of Shiv Parivaar has completed along with Ram Parivaar. Trustee Vikramaditya Singh, Chitrangada Singh, Ranvijay Singh and president, Dharmarth Trust, B R Kundal, were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Dr Karan Singh performed Pooja in the temple for the welfare of the people and peace and progress of the State. He also prayed for peace and amity in the country in general and the State in particular. Later, Dr Karan along with other dignitaries had a round of the temple complex and took stock of arrangements and other works. He expressed satisfaction on the overall management and facilities being provided to the devotees.
Thereafter, a special Pooja was performed at Mata Bagla Mukhi and Natraj Temple also. A large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
Secretary, Ajay Singh Jamwal, joint secretary, Dr Satpal Verma, council members, Pujaries of the trust and staff members were also present on the occasion. Later, Prasad was served to the devotees.
Meanwhile, Anmol Amla’s Dogri fusion album, ‘Mitthiyaan Parchhaiyaan’ and Geetika Kohli Amla’s fifth book of poetry, ‘Crooked Hyphens’ was also released by Dr Karan Singh at a function held at Amar Mahal.
The function began with the dignitaries releasing the book and the album. This was followed by Geetika reciting some pieces from her collection. The chief guest patted Geetika for penning enthralling verses, which according to him had already transcended borders. Rockstar Anmol Amla then made a bombastic performance of Dogri folk songs from his album.
The event concluded with Dr Karan Singh reiterating his fondness for Dogri music and literature and explaining how its folklore is nothing short of works in any other language. He urged everyone to not only pass on the heritage to the youth, but to also encourage them to add to it, like the efforts put in by Anmol and Geetika.
