Karan among nine selected for advanced training in 3D Printing in Beijing

JAMMU, May 16: Son of the soil, Karan Gupta (BE in Printing Technology), son of Arun Gupta of Arun Art Printers Jammu is among the nine printing technocrats and students selected for advance training in 3D Printing at ‘Beijing Institute of Graphics Commu-nication’ (BIGC), Beijing.
It is for the first time that this type of opportunity has been provided by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) under the leadership of Prof Kamal Chopra (president), who has signed MoU with BIGC for imparting advance training in this new and upcoming technology to the printing fraternity. This advance training is for a period of 3 months i.e. May 2017 to August 2017.
3D printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to create three-dimensional objects in which layers of material are formed under computer control. Objects of any shape or geometric configuration are produced using digital model data from a 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File (AMF).
