Kalibari people protest in front of DC office

JAMMU, Mar 7: The residents of Kalibari led by Som Raj held a protest demonstration against the district administration and sat on dharna in front DC Office Complex in support of their demand.
They were demanding the construction of Government school and play ground at Kalibari on the State land having old pond. The protesters raised slogans in support of their demands and sat on dharna.
One protestor Som Raj said that the district administration is going to retrieve the old pond and started Plantation on the pond land. But the residents do not want any pond and were demanding the construction of Government School and play ground for youth on the land. They also met with Deputy Commissioner and apprised him the demand of people so that the old pond land may be used for common cause. But Deputy Commissioner Kathua refused to change the status of pond.
