JAMMU, Nov 11: In an initiative to refrain youth from drugs and to make them a good citizen, In-charge Police Post, Pouni Chak, SI Arun Dev Singh organized a Kabaddi Tournament at Pouni Chak, here today.
Pouni Chak Bawa Jitto Club emerged winner, defeating Akalpur team convincingly.
The teams were presented cash prize by the organizers on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that about 100 kabaddi players drawn from Pouni Chak and surrounding villages got job in Government departments.
The J&K Police lend a helping hand to them in boosting their morale to save them from drug abuse.
The Sarpanch of Pouni Chak, Ramesh Chander and Sarpanch of Trilokpur, Babbi along with other prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
The locals of the area appreciated this effort of Police Post Pouni Chak in providing opportunity to youth to showcase their talent.
