JAMMU, Mar 28: Jammu West Assembly Movement today staged a protest against the failure of the J&K Government in ending 6-month long Kashmir unrest and demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come up with a formula during his forthcoming visit in Jammu to end the Kashmir unrest.
A large number of activists of JWAM under the leadership of JWAM president Sunil Dimple today assembled at New Plot and raised slogans against the State Government and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for their failure to end the Kashmir unrest.
Addressing the protesting activists, Sunil Dimple said that terror attacks are on rise in the State. Every day, militants are targeting the security forces including J&K police and snatching their weapons and the Government has failed till now to control these terror attacks. He said that in their over two-year rule in the State, PDP-BJP Government has completely failed to control the Pakistan sponsored terrorism in the State.
Dimple further lambasted the State Government particularly coalition partner PDP for adopting soft approach towards terrorism, separatists, stone pelters and also for demanding revocation of PSA on stone pelters, who time and again support the terrorists. He also asked BJP to clear their stand on Indo-Pak talks.
He demanded the Chief Minister to resign on moral grounds and appealed the Governor NN Vohra to recommend the Central Government to impose Governor Rule in the State. He also demanded visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come with the formula to end the 6-month long Kashmir unrest.
