JWAM stages protest, demands imposition of Governor Rule

JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest against PDP-BJP Government, demanding imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
Scores of JWAM activists led by their president, Sunil Dimple, today assembled at New Plot on Janipur road and raised slogans against the State Government. They also burnt the effigies of the Government.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple said they will call indefinite Jammu Band from April 12 if Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims are not deported from the Jammu region, Asifa case not handed over to CBI, Jammu West constituency not granted district status and the delimitation commission not constituted and implemented in the State.
Stating that BJP-PDP Government has failed on all the fronts, Dimple demanded imposition of Governor Rule in the State. Dimple said the BJP for the lust of power and the chair has agreed on all anti Jammu stands of the PDP.
He demanded the Government to announce more districts in Jammu region and grant district status to Nowshera, Sunderbani, Kala Kote, Kot Ranka, Basholi, RS Pura and Jammu West Assembly constituency.
Dimple said the BJP leaders are only misleading the people of the J&K on hollow claims of development. He also criticized the BJP for not including abrogation of Article 35 A and Article 370 in Agenda of Alliance and Government’s failure in settlement of the PoK refugees.
The JWAM president also came down heavily on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, BJP Minister, MPs, MLAs and MLCs for their failure to declare birth anniversary of the Maharaja Hari Singh a gazetted holiday.
