JWAM leads protest against rising prices

JAMMU, Oct 30: The Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists and leaders held a protest here today against the hike in the prices of the subsidized domestic LPG prices as also the rising prices of the vegetables, edibles, essential commodities. Protest was led by JWAM president Sunil Dimple along with the BPL families.
Dimple urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to exempt the Sale Tax and VAT on the sale of the LPG, diesel, petrol and kersene oil, control the rising prices and fulfill the commitments made with the people. He alleged that State and Central Governments are shifting responsibilities to each other and no one is ready to relax the taxes.
Dimple alleged that CAPD, Directorate Jammu has become the den of corruption as every day its officers of the department are caught red handed black marketing the BPL ration and the inquiry list of 150 officers is lying unattended.
The essential commodities were not available at ration depots.
Dimple demanded the Prime minister to Implement the food security bill in the State.
