JAMMU, Dec 7: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest here at New Plot demanding CBI inquiry into the funds spent in the West Constituency by ERA, PWD (R&B) and JMC.
The protesters alleged that no development work took place in any locality of the West Assembly Constituency in last three years during PDP-BJP rule. All drains and nallahs of the constituency are overflowing and sewerage water is entering into shops, show rooms and in the houses of the people while the condition of lanes and roads are deplorable.
Addressing the protestors, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, said that west constituency is the dirtiest and backward constituency of the State and has been turned into heaps of garbage. Dimple served 10 days ultimatum to the ERA, JMC, JDA, PWD (R&B) to take serious note of warning, failing which agitation will be intensified and Jan Andolan will be started.
Stating that there is a lot of anger and resentment in the hearts of the residents of the constituency against the local MLA Satpal Sharma for worst condition of the constituency, he demanded his resignation.
