JAMMU, July 29: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest demonstration against sitting MLA Satpal Sharma, raised slogans against him for lack of basic amenities and demanded his resignation.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple also raised slogans against Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, for the total failure of the PDD for the prolonged power cuts, defunct infrastructure at Janipur Grid station and acute scarcity of drinking water.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple alleged recently inaugurated new 10 MVA Grid at Ambphalla Manda by Deputy Chief Minister is a total fraud with the people. He said in place of bringing some solace, this transformer has brought miseries to the people as due to long long cuts and voltage fluctuations the electric gadgets have been damaged.
He demanded CBI inquiry in the work done and poles erected by IRCON as the poles have damaged and the grid became total failure.
Demanding return of the Hydro Power Projects to the State, Dimple urged for starting work on Chenab Water Supply Project at Akhnoor as river Tawi is not meeting the requirement of drinking water for the Jammu city.
Others present on the occasion were Dr Sham Saroop, Manjiet Kumar Anand, Raj Kumar Gandotra, Jagdish Magotra, Daleep Pandoh,  Shiv Kumar, Sanjeev Soi, Bhagat Ram Sharma, Raj Dev Singh, Anil Abrol, PC Kapoor, Arjun Kumar, Vijay Sharma, Chani Lal Bhat, Ajay Kumar, Sat pal, Som Nath Magotra and R K Bhawani.
