JAMMU, Sept 30: Justice Bawa Singh Walia, a Judge of J&K High Court, has been transferred to Punjab and Haryana High Court.
According to the notification issued by Union Law Ministry, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, read with Article 222 (1A) of the Constitution in its application to Jammu & Kashmir, the President, after consultation with the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and the Chief Justice of India, has ordered transfer of Justice Bawa Singh Walia, Judge of Jammu & Kashmir High Court, as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
He has been directed to assume charge of his office in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on or before October 13, 2017.
